What makes a good environment? Details. And that’s where this releases kicks in:
We all know how long it takes to model a detailed rope. Dealing with tricky spline setups, messy geometry… This doesn’t needs to be a burden in your workflow, though. Any cylinder can be a full-fledged rope in just a couple steps, when you have a good UV layout and materials with proper height information to drive their shape. And that’s all about this month’s pack, the Ropes & Cables Release!
Highlights of thIS Release
Procedural Ropes, Ducts and Cables:
In this month’s release, we focused our efforts to create a very comprehensive pack of support materials: Naval Ropes, Industrial hoses, Air ducts, up to instrument cables. Never worry about having to model ropes anymore.
DUCTS:
Used for heating, ventilation and air conditioning, ducts are a great way to deliver and remove air, efficiently. We feature both rigid and flexible alloys, for indoor and outdoor environments.
INDUSTRIAL:
Prominent in engineering projects and even sci-fi motifs, our selection of cables and hoses offers some of the most widely used materials in the construction field.
UTILITY ROPES:
From naval ropes up to climbing equipment, make your ropes look better (and not just boring colored splines!) with our selection of utility ropes:
Instrument Cable:
As a bonus, there’s also an instrument cable material for all the CG musicians out there. You’ll be able to change it’s colors and thread size on the fly with the .sbsar file.
